Bones’ Emily Deschanel Plays a Lesbian in ‘The Perfect Family’

Anne Renton’s ‘The Perfect Family’, stars Kathleen Turner as Eileen Cleary, a devout Catholic woman and candidate for her church’s Catholic Woman of the Year. Bones’ Emily Deschanel plays her lesbian daughter Shannon who is in the midst of planning her wedding to her partner Angela (Angelique Cabral).

Eileen’s main competition for the Catholic Woman of the Year title is long-time rival Agnes Dunn (Sharon Lawrence). Hindered by a lesbian daughter, a son who has left his wife and children for an older woman and an alcoholic husband, does she have a chance at winning? Out actor Richard Chamberlain, plays the Catholic priest in this timely comedy.

The Perfect Family will hit theaters May 5th.
